Abstract

The purpose of this article is to study the contact phenomena of the Russian, Even and Yakut languages in the speech of bilinguals and multilinguals of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The author investigates the problems of Russian-Even-Yakut language contact, and also shows their theoretical and practical significance in the study of languages of various types. The task is also posed to comprehend philological (and other extralinguistic) research factors on the basis of inflectional and agglutinative languages. The subject of the research are modern Russian, Even and Yakut languages with their dialects and sub-dialects. The object of the research is the linguistic contacts of Russians, Evens and Yakuts in the synchronous and diachronic aspects of linguistic contactology. The research material was the following: the author’s observations for over 40 years of teaching Russian, Even, Yakut and Dolgan languages at the Faculty of Peoples of the Far North, Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute named after Alexander Herzen (now the Institute of Peoples of the North of Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia), as well as the published works of famous specialists in Russian, Tungus-Manchurian and Turkic languages: V. P. Neroznak, V. G. Bogoraz, V. I. Tsintsius, G. M. Vasilevich, A. A. Popov, V. A. Robbek and others. The author comes to the conclusion that the studied languages have come a long way of cross-fertilization and development; Russian-Even-Yakut contacts are found at all linguistic levels: phonetics, vocabulary and grammar.
