On the linguistic self-identity of villagers living in border zone of Russia and Belarus (Nevel district of Pskov Oblast)

The article is devoted to the linguistic identity of the inhabitants of the Russian-Belarusian border zone, who speaks such dialects, which were classified both as Belarusian and Russian. The article contains speakers' statements on their dialect, on the relationship between Belarusian and the Russian languages, on their understanding of such ethnonyms as "Bulbash" "Skobar" and "Muscovite". In addition, it touches such question as change of linguistic identity.
